PHLEBOTOMY TECHNICIAN(BLOOD COLLECTION)
The Phlebotomist is a vital member of the clinical laboratory team. The main job of the phlebotomist is to obtain a patient's blood specimen by venipuncture & micro-collection, along with proper labeling and transportation of other clinical laboratory specimens.
The field of phlebotomy has greatly expanded and the role of the phlebotomist has recently been brought into much sharper focus. Phlebotomy Technicians are employed at facilities such as Hospitals, Health Centers, Medical Groups, Laboratories, Public Health Facilities, Physician Offices, Blood Banks and Dialysis Centers.
Tender Care Training Center offers thorough and comprehensive phlebotomy technician training that will prepare students to enter the work force as a highly skilled phlebotomist. The training includes 60 hours of core lab skills & classroom training, enhanced by an additional 80 hours of hands on "Real-World" clinical training hosted by one of several partner health facilities.
